Mission and Vision

My Future Learning Space

Upon reading through the work that TWB does, and reading up on the initiatives; I wanted do do some of my own research to see which area I felt the most connection with, and that was Girls Education, specifically in India.

I came across the website Educate Girls, and was astounded to see what the current situation is in many parts of India surrounding the education of girls.

  • Around 3 million girls are out of school in India.

  • Studies show that out of every 100 girls in rural India, only 1 will make it to Grade 12.

  • 350,000+ girls are out of school in the state of Rajasthan, where 40% leave school before Grade 5, only 15% can read simple Hindi, and a staggering 50% of girls are married before becoming legal age.

"If more girls are educated, then their health, income levels and overall livelihoods improve, bringing about social transformation".

- Educate Girls, 2014.

My Future Learning Space, Equality for All, aims to fight those statistics, one day at a time. Not only teachers, but every single human being has the potential to help in taking a stand for change. These girls are being deprived of basic education, which can have a substantial impact on their futures. Our vision is to change the views on girls education around the world, in particular India, and provide better care for these girls.

The mission is clear; provide quality education and in return have powerful women change our world.
